MLK Prayer Breakfast Celebration
Benton Convention Center, Winston-Salem, 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
This year's theme is "The Emerging Dream- A Present Day Reality."
26th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast
Sheraton Hotel Greensboro at Four Seasons/Koury Convention Center, 7:30 a.m.
The breakfast is in honor of Dr. King's contributions to human rights with invitations extended to the community to share in the celebration.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration
All events open to the public, 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
MLK Day Youth Rally & Fellowship Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (950 File St., Winston-Salem); MLK Day March at 10:45 a.m. at Mt. Zion; MLK Day Workshops from noon-2 p.m. at WSSU (Anderson Center, Dillard Auditorium); MLK Day Celebration at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church (5000 Noble St., Winston-Salem)
Beloved Community "Day of Service"
McKinnon Hall (Moseley Center), Elon University, 9 a.m.
A day of service to commemorate MLK Day. There will be a discussion before and after the service.

The ICRCM has several events planned throughout the day. All events are free and open to the public.

The Volunteer Center of Greensboro will partner with Guilford County Schools and local colleges and universities for the MLK Day of Service.

A one-man play, written by Robert Clymire and starring Greenfair Moses III, on the life of Dr. King.
On Common Ground: Remembering the Past to Shape the Future
K.R. Williams Auditorium, WSSU, 7 p.m.
Singer, songwriter and social activist Harry Belafonte will present the MLK Jr. Day keynote speech. Event is free and open to the public.
