Greensboro, NC -- Three local cheerleading teams took home top honors in the 2012 NewBridge Bank Invitational Jamboree.

NewBridge Bank announced the winners Monday.

Among small teams, Glenn High School finished in first place. McMichael High School took home the first place trophy among medium teams. And, the first place school among large teams was Reagan High School.

NewBridge also recognized Carver High School with the Spirit award. The award is given each year in honor of those lost during the previous year from the Jamboree family. This year, NewBridge remembered Rich Brenner.

Mark Boyd from West Stokes and Jim Clontz of Western Guilford were presented with the Rich Brenner Life Leader Award, which honors local coaches who make a difference, set positive examples for students, overcome health obstacles and inspired their schools.

The Jamboree took place in August and is the bank's largest fundraising event of the year. Proceeds go to local schools.

The Jamboree raised $104,200 for 24 participating local high schools, the largest amount raised to date.
