Triad/NC-- Here is a list of events from across North Carolina on ways to make Halloween fun for the entire family.

Saturday, October 27- Fall Pumpkin Festival at Centenary United Methodist Church on W. Friendly Ave, Greensboro.
Event is scheduled from 10am-4pm.

Sunday, October 28, United Way Trunk or Treat - the United Way of Greater Greensboro's Young Leaders will host their annual "Trunk or Treat" event from 2pm-4pm in the United Way Parking Lot: at 1500 Yanceyville Street in Greensboro.

Sunday, October 28-Trunk or Treat at the Children's Museum of Winston Salem. Event is from 1pm-5pm.

Saturday, October 27, Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs at SciWorks. The event from 3pm-5pm. Children 3-12 years old are invited to wear costumes. For information call: 767-6730 or click on SciWorks.

Saturday, October 27, Market Square in downtown Reidsville will be filled with activities for the kids. Activities start at 11:00am with games, a bounce house, face painting, arts & crafts and food. Dancers from Academy of Dance will perform "Thriller" as the opening act. The dance is set for 11:30am.

"Boo at the Zoo" Saturday/Sunday, October 26, 27: the North Carolina Zoo will hold its annual daytime Halloween celebration for kids of all ages, Boo at the Zoo. The zoo will come alive with two magical days of family fun featuring games, trick-or-treating, entertainment and costume contests. The two-day activity runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day in the Africa and North America plazas.

Great Smoky Mountains
The Great Pumpkin Patch Express is returning to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. The excursions are themed after Charles M. Schulz's classic story "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," will be departing from the Bryson City Depot October 6&7, 12-14, 19-21 & 26-28.

The Faithful Friends Halloween Dog Dress Up Contest and Adoption Reunion on Saturday, October 20. Event location the Sanctuary at 220 Grace Church Road in Salisbury, NC from 11:00 am until 2:00pm.

The entrance fee is $5.00 per dog, and human companions are free.  Community members are encouraged to bring their dogs, particularly those adopted from Faithful Friends. Food vendors and pet related vendors will also be in attendance. Prizes and awards will be given for Best Costume and more.

Grandfather Mountain
Saturday, October 27- Celebrate Halloween with the creatures of the Grandfather Mountain Animal Habitats. The annual "Beary Scary Halloween" festivities is also a fundraiser for renovations on Grandfather's eagle habitat. Click on Grandfather Mountain for details.
