Installing a child safety seat sounds simple, but a lot of parents don't do it right.
WFMY News 2 partnered with multiple safety organizations to host a free child safety seat installation/check on Wednesday.

Four out of five parents do not install their child's safety seat properly. Some of the most common mistakes include: Not securing the base of the car seat properly to the car, not having the safety straps tight enough and using the wrong and/or expired safety seat.
Safety seats do have expiration dates, which is one reason why experts suggest parents do not purchase a used seat.
