Triad --  Pizzas can have all the food groups in one spot... but most wouldn't call it a health food.  Especially if you have it delivered or carry it out, you can can add a lot of fat and calories.  You don't even really know what goes into your pizza... unless you grow your own.

Why not start your own pizza garden?

  1. Go out into your yard and decide how much room you have.
  2. You're going to make a circle (the shape of a pizza) then section it off into 6 parts (pizza slices)
  3. Pick your favorite pizza toppings like tomatoes, peppers, onions, parsley, basil or cilantro.  Plant whatever you like!  Plant each in it's own section or slice.
  4. All summer long, you can harvest your pizza!

Instead of calling the pizza guy, this will get the kids outside, teach them about gardening and you'll have a healthier dinner as a bonus!
