Summerfield, NC.   With the temperature dropping, now is a good time to check your crawl space vents.

Vents that are working properly will help keep your pipes from freezing and save you money on your energy bill.

If you have the older type vents, you will need to close them yourself. The newer types have a temperature control spring but be sure the spring is well lubricated, so it will open and close the vents  freely.

Mr. Fix It Tom Garcia tells you why properly operating crawl space vents are important in the attached video.
