ABOUT TOM GARCIA

Tom is a graduate of LSU College of Engineering and has worked in project and company management for more than twenty five years. Starting as a Project Engineer for an Energy company, Tom advanced through numerous levels of engineering and corporate management positions. Greensboro, NC  -  It is hot this summer and your air conditioner is working hard to keep you cool. There are some easy ways you can help it to run more efficiently. 

First, check your filter or have some one to check it for you to make sure it is not dirty and stopping the air flow. This will cause your ac to work harder, and increase your energy bill.

Check the unit on the outside of your home, make sure it is not clogged with debris. You can clean the coils by washing them down with water, make sure you turn the unit off before you clean it.
