Greensboro, NC -- Police are looking for at least one suspect after a man was beaten and robbed early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to W. Market St., near N. Greene St., just after midnight in reference to a robbery.

Detectives say there was some sort of altercation between a white male, 23-year-old Corey Blackburn, and four black males, accompanied by two black females and a white female.

Police say a witness, 21-year-old Jefferey Meiser, tried to calm down the two sides, and that's when one of the suspects assaulted him. Meiser lost consciousness as a result.

While Meiser was on the ground, the main suspect took some of his personal property, and all of the suspects ran from the scene, police say.

Both Blackburn and Meiser suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.

The primary suspect was a black male, wearing black jeans and a black shirt with colorful print, according to a news release.

Police are still investigating this incident. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 336-373-1000.
