High Point, NC -- Three High Point men wanted in a string of break-ins are behind bars after police say they made a misstep.
Officers arrested Terry Allen Fleming, Jr., Deandre Marquel Davis, and Mitchell L. Marion Wednesday around noon. Detectives found the three men, all 19 years old, selling the televisions out of a black Acura.
Police say witnesses saw that same Acura at the scene of several home break-ins in High Point and Guilford County recently.
After searching the E. Kivett Dr. area Wednesday, police found the Acura and tried to arrest the suspects. That's when--police say--the car sped away on Dillon Road. Police did not chase the suspects, but did catch up with the car later after one of the men drove it into a tree.
Detectives found stolen televisions and computers from several, recent home break-ins when they searched the car.
Police arrested Davis at the scene of the wreck, and after a short foot chase, also took Fleming into custody. Officers later arrested Marion in relation to the burglaries.
Fleming is charged with possession of stolen property; Davis is charged with felony fleeing to elude and possession of stolen property; and Marion faces multiple burglary charges.
Police are still investigating this incident and say more charges could be on the way.
