Greensboro, NC-- Police in Greensboro said they've linked three teens in a shooting that injured two people.
According to a news release, the shooting happened around 9:19 pm in the 2300 block of Ontario Street on Monday. Officers were sent after receiving a 911 call from someone who said a person who was shot was on their front porch.
Officers said 22 year-old Rickeysha Royster, 22, had been shot twice in the area of Ontario St. and ran to the house for help. While police were investigating the shooting, additional officers were dispatched to Hardie Street on another shooting victim.
Police found 19 year-old Morise Robert Kingsberry who had been shot. Both Royster and Kingsberry were transported to by EMS to Cone Hospital.
An investigation revealed that both victims were shot in the same incident.
Detectives linked Devonte Bernard Johnson, 17, Markus Khalil Jordan, 17 and Lexus Lynette Slade, 16, to the shootings..
The teens are facing charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, and Conspiracy. Johnson was also arrested on an existing warrant for Possession of a Handgun by a Minor.
Officers said the investigation is on-going. No further information about the gang can be released at this time.
