Several Arrested In Burlington Prostitution Sting

Burlington, NC-- Neighbors complained and the Burlington Police Department listened which help removed some bad guys from their area.

The police department said after getting complaints through its Connecting Burlington Communities (CBC) tip line from people in one neighborhood about prostitution they reacted and have arrested several people. The complaints were specifically for the areas of North Main Street near Ireland Street and the immediate surrounding areas.

In a news release police said their Police Department Community Oriented Police Officers worked with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office. The agencies conducted an investigation into the complaints of prostitution in areas where complaints were received.

As a result the following arrests were made:

Willie Harrison, 52 was arrested and charged with Soliciting Crimes Against Nature. Harrison received a $400 secured bond.

Oscar Gomez, 19 was arrested and charged with Soliciting Crimes Against Nature. Gomez was released with a written promise to appear.

Vincent Hicks, 49 was arrested and charged with Soliciting Crimes Against Nature. Hicks was released with a written promise to appear.

Darryl Potts, 51 was arrested and charged with Soliciting Crimes Against Nature. Potts was released with a written promise to appear.
