Winston-Salem, NC -- Police arrested a man they say fired a gun at his ex-girlfriend after the two got into an argument Saturday.
Officers responded to 1008 Leona St. around 9 p.m.
Investigators say Lashaunda Crowder, 20, and Byron Scott, 21, got into an argument earlier that evening. Police say Crowder suffered an eye injury from the altercation.
Scott then left the scene and told Crowder he'd return and kill her. Crowder didn't call police, according to the police report.
The woman said Scott later returned with a gun and tried to force his way into the home. Police say he reached inside the back door with the gun and fired one round as Crowder tried to close the door.
No one was injured, and Crowder ran from the house.
Police arrested Scott Sunday and charged him with Assault on a Female, Breaking and Entering, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Communicating Threats.
He's being held in the Forysth County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond. Scott's set to appear in court Oct. 16.
