Wentworth, NC -- A Reidsville man was convicted by a jury on Wednesday for stealing baby formula from multiple stores in 2010.
According to authorities, Jerry Kenneth Call, Jr., 32, was found guilty of Felony Larceny from a Merchant and Misdemeanor Larceny, and was sentenced to 18-31 months in prison.
On January 12, 2012, Call went into an Eden Wal-Mart with Nikki Denny, Shanna Flores, and Sabrina Cobblerand stole nearly $1,200 worth of baby formula.
Eden Police stopped Call's car on Washington St. after they received reports that formula had been stolen from Rite Aid in Eden. Police found several cans of formula in the car.
Police said that baby formula theft is becoming an issue across the US because it is being resold and can be used for making illegal drugs.
