Davidson County, NC-- The Davidson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting death that involves livestock.
According to the Lexington Dispatch, a cow was found shot to death and a calf from the same property was stolen. A police report said that the crimes happened in the 400 block of Burton Road near Thomasville, early this week.
According to the report obtain by the newspaper, an unknown person shot and killed the cow and stole a calf in an open land area of their property.
The property owner reported that the incident Friday, but he believes the crimes happened between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:38 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies haven't made any arrests as of Friday morning.
