Burlington, NC-- The Burlington Police Department have arrested several people in a string a vandalism cases involving homes and a high school.
Police said they started getting reports of the damage from neighborhoods mostly along W. Davis St, W. Front St, Willowbrook Dr, Glenwood Ave, Harriet Dr and surrounding areas. Victims reported damage to mailboxes, lamp posts and other decorative items on their property.
Officers were also sent to Williams High School regarding multiple windows being damaged along with light posts on the property.
More than 50 reports of vandalism have been reported from the area, according to police. As a result of their investigation into the complaints, four people face charges. Police said two of them are juveniles.
Elijah Akabar Motley, 16 is charged with: 11 Counts of Injury to Personal Property
Abraham Banda Perez, 20 is charged with: 11 Counts of Injury to Personal Property and 1 Count of Injury to Real Property
Motley received a $4,000.00 secured bond and Perez received a $5,000.00 secured bond.
The crimes are still under investigation and police say additional charges could come.
