Suspect Cut Phone Lines, Disconnected Power Meter

Burlington, NC -- Police are looking for a man who they say broke into a home after cutting the phone lines and disconnecting the power meter.

Police said it happened last Wednesday at 6:56 am on Short St. The home owner said they were robbed after the suspect tampered with their home's phone lines and power meter. The robber got into the house by breaking a sliding glass door, and stole electronics and a firearm.

On Friday, officers received a tip that the suspect may live on Meridian Ave. Police searched the home and found various items stolen from the breaking & entering on Short St. 

Police have a warrant for Dalvin Jauane Tyner, 19, who is being charged with Breaking & Entering, Larceny after B&E, Larceny of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Felon and Injury to Real Property.
