Convience Store Held At Gun Point In Burlington

(Burlington, NC)  --  On 8/03/2012 at 0042 hrs, Burlington Police were dispatched to Tommy's Mini Mart in reference to an attempted armed robbery.

Michael Lea, black male, 52 years of age, employee of the business, stated that he was standing in front of the business when he was approached by two black males. The black male suspects brandished firearms and demanded money from Lea. Lea then fled the scene. Another employee in the business was in the rear of the business and did not see the incident.

Lea described the suspects as follows:

- 2 black males, both in their mid-20's, wearing all black clothing, with black ski mask covering their faces.

Both of the suspects were armed with semi-automatic handguns.

The suspects were unable to gain entry into the business and left in an unknown direction.
