Greensboro, NC - When you're going out on job interviews, don't stress over how you lost your last job. In today's One Minute Career Check, consultant Joyce Richman tells us it's all how you present it.
You may say, "I'm afraid I'm going to be asked why I left my last job." Well, you can be afraid of that, if you really haven't thought why you left that job or that job left you. If it was part of this economic downturn in which all of us are being impacted, the employer is going to understand that, but you must be able to explain it. If you were terminated for cost, you need to know the role that you played in that and what it is you are going to do differently moving forward. The employer wants to know that.
So all of the questions you have such concerns about, instead of just putting it off, grab hold of it, explore it, examine it, get your answer ready, practice it and then you are ready to interview.
