Don't Forget The "Thank You" Note

Joyce Richman's latest resume advice.

Greensboro, NC -- Career Consultant Joyce Richman says a "thank you" note might be that something extra that lands you a job.  Here's how she recommends you write it:

First paragraph: Thank the interviewer for the opportunity to talk with him or her.  Make sure to include the position you interviewed for and the day and date you were there.

Second paragraph: Explain what you can immediately do to add value to company.  Be specific.

Final paragraph: Your action statement.  Richman says you need to make it clear that this is a job you can do, one you want and one that you are ready to start.
