Greensboro, NC -- As the economy has rebounded, so has business for Triad's minor league baseball teams.
The Business Journal reports both the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Winston-Salem Dash have seen boosts in sponsorship support and group ticket sales heading into their season openers.
Both teams anticipate busy seasons this year and beyond. Residential developments are being built within walking distance of BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem and NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro.
Dash President Geoff Lassiter said, sponsorship support is up about 10% compared to last year, and season ticket sales are on pace with 2011 numbers. Lassiter said last season's numbers will be released in the team's community report later this month.
Donald Moore, president of the Greensboro Grasshoppers, told the Business Journal, "We've had a good off-season. We're going to be slightly ahead of last year."
