Krispy Kreme is celebrating 75 years and part of that is a renovation project at its corporate headquarters. The Business Journal reports the $1.2 million renovation project will update the working environment and honor the company's history at its Knollwood Street location. Part of that means they'll add a new historical timeline in the renovated lobby. Magnolia Construction of Winston-Salem is the general contractor for the project.
Triad General Contractor John S. Clark & Company is closing. The Business Journal reports, negotiations toward a management buy out collapsed. The closure will affect about 100 employees. According to a memo distributed to employees on March 12th, the buy out negotiations with CEO Barry Hennings and other senior managers of the firm did not lead to a mutually beneficial agreement.
An expansion project at the New Garden Crossing Shopping Center in Greensboro is bringing in two new stores. A Marshals Department Store and Dollar Tree are part of the $3 million addition. The Lowes Food Store already located in the center is also being remodeled. The projects are part of a larger effort to increase attendance at the shopping center which is located on New Garden Road.
