Winston-Salem, NC -- The residence halls at Wake Forest University are filling up, so the school is adding more.
The Business Journal reports "Wake Forest University is in the midst of planning two new residence halls totaling 150,000 square feet and a 15,000-square-foot dining hall." University officials wouldn't say how much it will cost, but The Business Journal estimates an approximate $50 million price tag based on similar academic projects at other Triad universities.
WFU isn't the only local university building. High Point University recently announced plans for its 200,000-square-foot "Fifth Street Commons" complex; UNC Greensboro is working on mixed-use village development in the Glenwood area.
Right now about 70%, of Wake's 4,800 undergrads live on campus.
