Greensboro, NC -- After a week of cooler temperatures across much of the Mid-Atlantic a feeling of fall has moved over the Triad. This transition to Autumn thinking brings the prospect of the beautiful display of fall leaf color to mind.
As of September 14th there has been only a few reports of color change from across the region. The only places that are seeing a faint change in leaf color are in the highest mountain peaks of northwestern North Carolina, central Virginia and eastern West Virginia.
The leaves in the higher elevations will continue to slowly change and eventually reach their peak in late September into early October. The Triad normally doesn't reach it's peak leaf color until late October.
As you begin to see the leaves change share your pictures with us. You can submit your pictures to email@example.com or post them to the WFMY News 2 facebook page.
