GREENSBORO, NC -- Smartphones can do so many things. But they can't fix themselves when we smash or crack the screens.
And until this week the makers of the iphone couldn't fix the screens without you sending the phone away and replacing the whole phone.
Apple is now doing cracked screen repairs, in-store, for customers who use the iphone 5c. It'll cost $150. Not cheap.
But here's the big seller, it takes about an hour.
Right now, there's only one Apple store in the state doing repairs and it's in Sharon Road location in Charlotte (704-972-3280).
The Southpoint mall location in Durham says they will do repairs, but they weren't quite set up to take them when 2WTK called. An Apple spokesperson told 2WTK ALL stores will be doing the repairs by the end of January.
