GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Triad expects to see around 7 inches of snow through the winter, but snow on Christmas is a little more rare.
Any given Christmas the Triad has less than a 5% chance of having snow on Christmas. The Triad has an almost 0% chance of having a white Christmas in 2013 as the forecast calls for sunny conditions with high temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
The last time the Triad had a white Christmas was in 2010. In fact, 2010 was the whitest Christmas on record for the Triad with a total of 4.2" of snow falling that day.
