GREENSBORO, NC -- No one wants to be out money. Call for Action volunteers worked the cases of three of your triad neighbors and got back $641 in money or goods.
#1 The Mattress Mishap
Virginia bought a mattress and box spring from Mattress Warehouse of Westover Gallery in Greensboro.
She says they delivered the wrong items.
Virginia had a friend take the mattress and box spring back, but the friend didn't get Virginia a credit. Mattress Warehouse has a record of the return in mid-September.
But by October, Virginia still didn't have a refund even though she says several calls were made.
Call For Action got in touch with Mattress Warehouse.
In an email, the marketing manager says they reached out to Virginia several time and told us her refund will be processed.
Mattress Warehouse made good and Virginia has her $280 dollars back. Case Closed.
#2 Ticket Trouble
Seeing your favorite football team is good. Having the chance to see them play in person is better! So when John won an on-line auction he was thrilled!
He paid $170 for two tickets to a Detroit Lions game, but then....
"I emailed in April and emailed in May and then emailed in June and then emailed in July and I called," says John.
Call for action made a few calls to the Michigan Hall of Fame.
John got his tickets.
Case closed at $170 and a forever memory.
#3 Discovering A Problem
Ronye and her husband both had Discover cards with reward points. The couple wanted to consolidate.
But when the two Discover accounts became one, her points, valued at $181 disappeared!
Call for Action helped Ronye through the request process.
The credit was made right and the points valued at $181 is in their new joint account.
