Greensboro, NC-- It's couch potato time, right? Football season means spending Sundays watching TV. Yes and no!

Former Play60 Student Ambassador Jack Grove and Coach Russ McHenry of Northern Guilford Middle believe you should start this football season making a game plan to be active.

The Fuel Up To Play60 initiative is a national program which is a partnership between the NFL, National Dairy Association, and schools. The program has made learning about nutrition and physical activity fun.

The program encourages students to eat plenty of nutrient rich foods and get at least 60 minutes of physical activity daily.

Jack helped motivate his fellow students at Northern Guilford Middle through 5k's, family nights which included seminars, games and exercise classes.

But even if your student's school doesn't participate in the Fuel Up To Play60 program, your student and family can! The website guides kids to set their own activity goals and challenges.
