Greensboro, NC --  Technology is great until it no longer works!  One of the worst place for it to not work is on vacation, especially if you forget to leave the phone behind when you go for a swim.

Tim Fidler with the Geek Squad at Best Buy has two ways to keep your phone going.

"When you're on the go, taking pictures, looking up restaurants and sites and finding maps, a dead battery stops all of it."

One product that can help with that is the Mophie. There are several versions of the product. The case-like Mophie allows you to charge your phone while on the go and use it at the same time. Depending on price, you can recharge your phone for 4-8 hours more talk time and web time. The cost is anywhere from $80 to $120.

A lot of people's vacations center around water and water can be a phone killer.

"It can be and that's where a Lifeproof case comes into play." says Fidler. "It protects your phone from 4 elements, water, snow, dirt and shock."

Lifeproof claims to keep your phone dry in at least 6 feet of water. When it comes to shock, a drop from about 6 feet is under the warranty.

2WTK tested it there with Fidler. First, like manufacturer's instructions, we tested the case first without the phone. Then, we followed the instructions, cleaned the phone and put it in the case and under the water it went.

Ring! Ring!

Yes, it worked.
