Piedmont Triad, NC -- Taking a car to the mechanic can leave your bank account hundreds of dollars lighter, depending on what's wrong with your vehicle.
2 Wants To Know invited Ben Vance, a service manager at Bill Black Chevrolet and Cadillac, on the show to answer some of your questions about vehicle maintenance.
Viewer Dink Coe asked, "I blew a muffler bearing. Is that expensive to fix?"
Vance says there's no such thing as a "muffler bearing and explains sometimes unscrupulous mechanics can tell customers something is wrong with their car just to charge them.
Another WFMY News 2 viewer asked, "I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra, when I turn the A/C on, it just blows hot air! Any suggestions on how I can fix it?"
Vance answers both questions in the video above.
