Greensboro, NC -- The technology a Triad business owner uses to keep track of where his contractors are could be used by you to watch over a teenaged driver, an elderly parent, or your child's sitter.
Kent Meeker of TechScout uses an app and computer program from MobileXus. A device about the size of a deck of cards is attached to the car's undercarriage. It costs between $99-$130 along with a monthly monitoring fee of about $15.
That device can send text alerts to your phone when the driver veers off course, speeds or if the device is unattached. From your computer, you can see maps of the car's course and a timeline as well.
