Undated -- Guess which fast food chicken chain had the highest sales last year? The answer: Chick-Fil-A. The chain had $4.6 billion dollars in sales last year, and passed KFC.

Today, Chick-Fil-A started a new era in their history, changing up their salad menu, and offering kitchen tours to any customer that wants one. 2 Wants to Know's Tanya Rivera talked to USA Today's Bruce Horovitz, who had interviewed Chick-Fil-A's president Dan Cathy about the changes.

Horovitz said, "They wanna compete for these millennials and the way to do that is to serve stuff that taste good and has some decent stuff in it. So instead of serving iceberg lettuce, they're using romaine." He added that salads will also be embellished with fresh fruit, like strawberries or blueberries, and fresh vegetables, like corn or red bell peppers."

Horovitz said he was surprised by the fact Chick-Fil-A would consider letting customers into their kitchens. But he said they want to let the customers see that it's fresh too. Horovitz said, "They'll show you the kitchen give you a little history, maybe a recipe, show you a drive-in and maybe treat you with an ice cream cone or cookie when its all over."

WFMY News 2 checked with a local Chick-Fil-A owner about the tours. He said its best to ask for the tour between 9:00 am and 11:00 am or from 2:00 pm and 5:00p m, not while they're busy with breakfast, lunch, or dinner crowds.  He said tours will be given to five to six people at a time and should take about 10 minutes each. But customers will not be allowed to touch anything and will be expected to put on a hair net and sanitize their hands as a precaution.
