New York, NY (Sports Network) - Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has reportedly been fined $100,000 for his low hit on Minnesota's John Sullivan in Sunday's game against the Vikings.

According to NFL.com, Suh was informed of the hefty fine by NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks on Tuesday.

Suh was whistled for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after he hit Sullivan in the knees while making a block during an interception return by Detroit's DeAndre Levy, who easily would have scored without the illegal block.

The Detroit Free Press had reported earlier Monday that the NFL was considering a suspension for Suh because he is a repeat offender.

Suh has been fined numerous times for his play on the field and even met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell about it during the 2011 season. He was suspended two games late in the 2011 campaign after stomping on the arm of Green Bay's Evan Dietrich-Smith during a Thanksgiving Day game.
