PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS - The 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis will welcome eight elite teams to Atlantis, forming one of the best fields in history. All eight teams have been confirmed, including North Carolina, UCLA, Georgetown, Florida, Butler, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and UAB.
The thrilling 12-game tournament will be held the week of Thanksgiving, November 26-28, 2014. Their impressive backgrounds include a combined 195 NCAA Tournament appearances, as well as 53 Final Four Appearances and 20 National Championships.
In addition to an outstanding field of skill and speed, Atlantis welcomes ESPN as a new TV partner this year in a three-year TV deal, alongside three-year veteran partner AXS TV. The 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis games will be aired live on both networks from Atlantis' Imperial Arena.
Villanova emerged as the champions of the 2013 Battle 4 Atlantis pre-season tournament on November 30, 2013. Following an impressive win against Kansas and fierce fight with UTEP for the title, Villanova defeated Iowa with a score of 88-83 in overtime. Other past winners of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournaments include Duke and Harvard.
