Putnam cruises to Mid-Atlantic Championship title

Potomac, MD (Sports Network) - Michael Putnam carded a 2-under 68 on Sunday to cruise to a 2-stroke victory at the Mid-Atlantic Championship.

Putnam finished the tournament at 7-under-par 273 to capture his second straight win and his third on the Web.com Tour overall. He was coming off a victory at the Mexico Championship last week.

Chesson Hadley (67) captured second at 5-under, while third-round co-leader Chad Collins tripped to a 2-over 72 to drop into a share of third at minus-3.

Collins was joined by Bronson La'Cassie (67) and Daniel Chopra (70).

Peter Tomasulo recorded the low round of the day at TPC Potomac at Avenal Farm with a 5-under 65 to jump into a tie for sixth place with Scott Dunlap (71), Sung Kang (73) and Alex Prugh (68) at 1-under 279.
