WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest redshirt sophomore forward Daniel Green will be out indefinitely after re-injuring his right knee during a summer workout.

Green missed the entire 2012-13 season when he tore his right ACL last October. He re-injured the knee in mid-July and had outpatient surgery last week. The 6-10 forward has already begun rehabbing the knee. There has been no timetable set for his return to the court.

"Unfortunately Daniel's latest setback required another surgery," said Wake Forest head coach Jeff Bzdelik. "Our hearts go out to Daniel who has worked extremely hard to get back on the court. As for the timetable for his return, that remains to be seen. Daniel has great resolve, and I'm sure he is determined to overcome this latest adversity."

Green originally suffered the ACL tear in October of 2012 during an exhibition game against Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. He underwent surgery to fix the tear in early November and spent last season rehabbing the knee.

Green redshirted the 2012-13 season to retain the year of eligibility. As a freshman in 2011-12, Green played in 27 games off the bench averaging 1.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per game.
