ACC Announces Hoops Matchups For 2013-14 Season

Wake Forest Demon Deacons

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest will play home and away games with Duke, North Carolina, NC State and Clemson next season as the ACC revealed the Demon Deacons' men's basketball conference opponents for 2013-14 today.

The Deacons will host Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Clemson, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Boston College in 2013-14. They will travel to Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Clemson, Miami, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland.

Wake Forest will play twice in the regular season against all three of its Big Four rivals, Duke, North Carolina and NC State, for the first time since the ACC expansion of 2004.

Next season will mark the entrance of Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the conference. The Demon Deacons will travel to face the Panthers in the first-ever game between the two schools.

North Carolina Tar Heels

CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina will play home-and-home men's basketball series next year with ACC newcomer Notre Dame and Wake Forest in addition to primary partners Duke and NC State, the ACC released on Tuesday.

The 2013-14 men's basketball season will be the second in which ACC teams play 18 conference games and the first in which Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse will be members of the ACC.

Each of the 15 ACC schools will play four opponents twice and 10 opponents one time.

The Tar Heels will play host to Boston College, Clemson, Maryland, Miami and Pittsburgh and travel to Florida State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

The ACC will release dates and times of the conference games and non-ACC games later in the summer.

Duke Blue Devils

DURHAM, N.C. - Duke, in conjunction with the Atlantic Coast Conference, announced its conference opponents for the 2013-14 basketball season. Game dates, times and television designation will be announced by the league office at a later date.

The Blue Devils, coming off a 30-6 season overall and an NCAA Tournament Elite Eight appearance, will have home-and-home matchups with its regular partners North Carolina and Wake Forest as well as Georgia Tech and ACC newcomer Syracuse.

Duke will welcome Florida State, Maryland, N.C. State, Virginia and Virginia Tech into Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils went 16-0 at home a year ago for the program's 17th undefeated season at the historic venue.

The road schedule includes trips to Boston College, Clemson and Miami along with inaugural stops at Pittsburgh and Notre Dame.

N.C. State Wolfpack

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State's 2013-14 ACC men's basketball opponents were announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

The ACC will have an 18-game regular season once again. The opponents were broken down as two permanent home/away partners, two repeats, five home only and five away only. New conference members Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse will begin play in 2013-14.

North Carolina and Wake Forest continue to be the Pack's primary men's basketball partners. The Pack will also face Miami and Pittsburgh both home and away.

Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, and Virginia will all visit PNC Arena in 2013-14. The Pack will travel to Clemson, Duke, Notre Dame, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech.

Syracuse Orange

Syracuse's first season of play in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is starting to take shape. The conference office announced the men's basketball game locations for 2013-14.

The Orange itinerary is broken down into the following contests:

Syracuse will play home-and-home dates with its two ACC "partners" -- Boston College and Pittsburgh.
The Orange have home-and-home series with Miami and Duke.
SU's five other league home games feature Georgia Tech, Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Notre Dame.
The remaining road-contest portion of the slate has Syracuse traveling to Florida State, Wake Forest, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Marlyand.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Home dates against Duke and North Carolina highlight the University of Notre Dame men's basketball team's inaugural season of Atlantic Coast Conference play. The conference has announced the opponent pairings for the 2013-14 league campaign.

Notre Dame will face each of the other 14 ACC member schools at least once during the 18-game conference schedule. Along with home-and-away dates with its "partner schools" Boston College and Georgia Tech, Notre Dame will meet both North Carolina and Virginia twice during the season.

The Fighting Irish also will play host to Clemson, Duke, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

Pittsburgh Panthers

GREENSBORO, N.C.-Pitt's inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference will feature home games against both Duke and Syracuse as the league announced its opponents and game sites for the 2013-14 University of Pittsburgh men's basketball season on Tuesday.

Pitt will open Atlantic Coast Conference play next year with an 18-game regular season schedule and will face each of the possible 14 opponents at least once. Additionally, Pitt will face four of those schools on two occasions: Clemson, Maryland, North Carolina State and Syracuse.

Pitt will play nine home games and nine away contests during league regular season competition. Home opponents at the Petersen Events Center will include Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Maryland, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Syracuse. Pitt will host Duke for the first time since January 26, 1980.

The Panthers' 2013-14 road opponents are Clemson, Boston College, Maryland, Miami, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame and Syracuse.

Boston College Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College will face Syracuse, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech twice next season as the Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2014 conference opponents for each team.

In addition to hosting the four teams listed above, the Eagles will also welcome Florida State, Clemson, Duke, Maryland and Pittsburgh to Conte Forum.

BC will be on the road to take on Miami, North Carolina, Wake Forest, NC State and Virginia as well as the aforementioned Syracuse, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech Hokies

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the ACC opponents and game sites for the Virginia Tech men's basketball team for the 2013-14 season on Tuesday afternoon.

The Hokies will play an 18-game regular season schedule and will face each of the possible 14 opponents at least once. Tech will face four of those schools both home and away. Virginia and Miami will be full-time partners with the Hokies and Tech will also play home and home with Maryland and Boston College in the 2013-14 season.

Virginia Tech will play nine home games and nine away contests during ACC regular season competition. Home opponents in Cassell Coliseum will include Clemson, North Carolina, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, and Syracuse, along with Miami, Virginia, Maryland and Boston College.

The road opponents for the Hokies in the 2013-14 season are Florida State, Georgia Tech, Duke, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame, along with Miami, Virginia, Maryland and Boston College. The entire Virginia Tech 2013-14 men's basketball schedule will be released at a later date.

Florida State Seminoles

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Florida State's ACC basketball schedule will include home games against North Carolina, Syracuse and Notre Dame and its road schedule will see games at Duke, NC State and Pittsburgh as the ACC announced opponents and sites for the 2013-14 conference schedule.

The Seminoles will play nine games at home in the Donald L. Tucker Center against North Carolina, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Seminoles will travel to play at Duke, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Clemson, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Clemson Tigers

CLEMSON, SC - Clemson learned of its conference opponents and game sites for the 2013-14 men's basketball season on Tuesday.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced that Clemson will play home-and-home series with Florida State, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest.

The Tigers will play home games only against Duke, Maryland, Miami, NC State and Virginia. Clemson will play road games only versus Boston College, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

The 2013-14 season will be the first with Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse as members of the ACC. Clemson will play all three former Big East teams on the road - one of only two ACC teams charged with that scenario. Clemson has never played road games in its history against any of the three teams.
