ROSEBERG, TX - A kid with a foodball caught the attention of a police officer in Texas, so Sergeant Ariel Soltura stopped to play.
"I could see that he was playing, but he was playing football by himself," Soltura said. "I saw a group of kids and I thought that they were going to play with him, but they didn't, they just kept on walking. So I decided I would inject a little positivity into his life and so we just started playing football."
The boy told Sergeant Soltura when he grows up he wants to be a police officer. The young boy is an honor roll student.
The police sergeant told WFMY News 2 from what he understands the boy doesn't have a positive male role model in his life, so he plans to be there for him.
He gave the boy his phone number in case he ever needs to talk.
