LEWISVILLE - The Triad Trackers, an adult wheelchair basketball team, took on a team from Spartanburg, South Carolina Saturday night.
They played two exhibition games and won both against the Spartanburg Pistons. In the second game they had to come back from an 8 point deficit.
This team is able to compete because of generous donations, and on Saturday, they held a barbecue fundraiser.
"This is our first time together as a group.. though the team has been together for 18 years. They didn't have a head coach for two or three years so I volunteered my time to do this for them, and I've had a good time doing it so far," says Brian Robinson, head coach of the Triad Trackers.
Next Week, the Trackers will meet the Pistons again, but this time the team will travel to Spartanburg.
