HARTFORD, Conn. - Police say a Connecticut woman called 911
just after midnight Friday to say she had burned her boyfriend to death
and would be waiting outside her Hartford home for police to arrive.
"Arrest me. I did it. I burned him alive," 47-year-old Julia Rivera reportedly told authorities when they responded to the home.

The Hartford Courant reports that Rivera had allegedly dumped hot corn oil from a frying pan on him.
The victim's name was not disclosed but CBS affiliate WFSB reports he remains in the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
charged Rivera with assault, reckless endangerment, violation of a
protective order and disorderly conduct. She was taken to a hospital
after complaining of chest pains.
