STOCKTON, CA - A young boy defended his home from a robbery suspect by using a commonplace kitchen item Tuesday afternoon.

The 14 year old told Stockton police he was alone at his home on the 100 block of W. Lincoln Road when someone rang the doorbell around 12:20 p.m.

Police said the suspect, 25-year-old Victor Frank, went to the back of the home when nobody answered and climbed through a bedroom window.

The teen called his mom to tell her that someone had broken into their home and his mother called the police.

The boy then armed himself with a frying pan, confronted Frank and whacked him, sending the suspected robber running from the home.

Officers arrived at the scene and located Frank on the 6900 block of N. El Dorado St.

Frank was arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail for residential robbery, Stockton police said.
