Dunwoody, Georgia (WXIA) -- Police officers in Dunwoody, Georgia found a house full of rabbits while trying to make an arrest.
Officers said they visited the house on Cobb Drive to arrest 42-year-old, Jessica Ly who failed to appear in court on a traffic violation. But instead of arresting just Ly, they ended up with a total of three people in handcuffs on charges of drugs and animal cruelty.
According to an incident report Ly was hiding in a bedroom and gave officers a false identification. Police officers also found illegal prescription pills. They also arrested 47-year-old, Louis Massood and 48-year-old, Dena Guevara. They discovered Massood was wanted for failure to appear.
Police officers also noticed a strange smell of ammonia in the house. That's when they discovered 77 rabbits freely roaming about. They said the rabbits had little food and water. The rabbits were turned over to animal rescuers and also to the Dekalb County Animal Control.
