GREENSBORO, NC--Weak high pressure will build over the South today through Monday morning. an Arctic cold front will approach and move through the Piedmont Monday afternoon bringing much colder air Tuesday through Thursday.
Today will be mostly sunny and milder. The high should reach near 47. Tonight clouds will begin to increase out ahead of the Arctic cold front. the low will be near 32. Monday will be mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles possible and a high of 53.
The Arctic cold front will move through Monday afternoon sending low temperatures Monday night to near 17. A northwesterly wind will produce wind chills in the single digits Monday night and early Tuesday.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy as a wave of low pressure moves northeast along the Carolina coast. That system will be watched as it could bring measurable snow to Eastern North Carolina Tuesday night. A more westward track would bring a chance of snow to the Piedmont. Wednesday will be partly cloudy and cold with a high of 29.
