Hospitals With Visitor Restrictions Due To Flu

Hospitals across the state are placing temporary visitor restrictions in place due to the increasing number of flu cases.

Cone Health - Visitor restrictions in place for anyone 18 years or younger. The hospital is also asking visitors with runny nose, sore throat, fever and cough not to visit patients.

Randolph Hospital - Limiting visitation hours, enforcing strict guidelines on who can visit.

Northern Hospital of Surry County - No one under the age of 18 can visit patients. These visitors cannot wait in the lobby areas, waiting rooms, or classrooms.

Duke University Health Systems - Restricting visitors at hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.

UNC Hospitals - Will begin restricting visitors on Monday. However that does not include High Point Regional at this time.

Twin City Regional Hospital (Galax, VA): Visitor restrictions in place for anyone 18 years or younger. Visitors with flu/cold-like symptoms  or any sign of any respiratory or other illnesses are advised to not visit the hospital unless treatment is needed.

Patients in the Emergency Department are only allowed one visitor during their stay. Patients and visitors to any patients who are isolated with flu/cold-like illnesses may be asked to wear masks in waiting and/or treatment areas.
