GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A warm front will move north of the area Wednesday as high pressure remains just off the East Coast.
A cold front will move across the area Friday. Chilly temperatures will return to the Piedmont for the weekend.
The warm front will produce a few spotty sprinkles Wednesday morning, mainly from the Triad northward into the Virginia. Otherwise, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 72.
Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 54. Clouds will increase again of Thursday with a high of 74. There will be a slight chance of isolated showers late in the day through the evening. A much better chance of rain is expected after midnight. A rainy day is expected for Friday.
The weekend will be dry and much cooler. Under a mostly sunny sky, the high Saturday will be 68, with a high of 58 on Sunday. The Sunday morning temperature will be 38.
