Burlington, N.C. -- Burlington Police say a woman tried to run her ex-girlfriend off the road. Not only that, but officers watched it all happen.
Police say Latoya Rashawn Murhpy began following her ex-girlfriend Wednesday afternoon. They also say she used her vehicle to ram Rashaunda Pettiford's car. Officers say Pettiford was driving to the police department for help when they say Murphy hit Pettiford's car forcing her head on into a tree. Pettiford injured her leg and a passenger in her car hurt her wrist.
Murphy then fled the area but was later found a few blocks away and was arrested. She's charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Injury to Personal Property and Driving While License Revoked, and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine.
