It was a busy day for Governor Pat McCrory, on Tuesday. He made two stops in the Triad.
The Governor spoke in the morning at Iseley Farms in Alamance County and presented the owner with an outstanding farming award.
The second event was in Mocksville, where Governor McCrory announced new jobs coming to Davie County. Montreal apparel-maker, Gildan Activewear is planning a $250 million factory expansion that will add about 500 jobs in North Carolina over the next three years. Three-hundred of those jobs will be in Davie County. Two-hundred jobs will be in Bladen and Rowan Counties.
State officials will expand its existing manufacturing plants in Salisbury and Clarkton and open a new factory in Mocksville
