STATESVILLE, N.C. -- West Front Street Baptist Church held a special Sunday service following a deadly bus crash this week.
Since Wednesday's crash, there's been an outpouring of support for the victims, their families and church members. Before the Sunday morning service members of another Statesville church handed out water and cookies to members and other visitors coming to mourn the victims of the crash.
The special service comes after the deadly Wednesday bus crash that killed eight people and injured 12 others in Tennessee.

Following Sunday's service, there will be a community-wide memorial Wednesday October 9th at 6:30 PM.
It'll be at the Mac Gray Auditorium at Statesville High School.

Several church members remain in Tennessee with family and friends still in the hospital. The church has set up a fund to help those families with expenses.
