GREENSBORO, N.C. -- High pressure over New England controls Piedmont weather through early Saturday.
A cold front will approach late Saturday and move through the area Sunday. Another batch of cooler air will move in early next week.
We will see a mix of sun and clouds both Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday's high will be 73 and 76 on Thursday. There may be a few extra clouds Thursday and Friday. The high Friday will be around 80.
As the high pressure center moves off the East Coast, a somewhat moist east to southeasterly wind will develop. This pattern will produce the extra clouds.
For the weekend: The approaching cold front will produce a 30 percent chance of showers late Saturday and Saturday night. There will be 40 percent chance Sunday. The high Saturday will be 82, cooling to 77 on Sunday.
