Greensboro--More muggy weather with a good chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms will be with us for much of the week ahead.

A stationary front over the area, lots of tropical moisture, and daytime heating will all combine to bring a 60% to 70% chance of scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms for the next five to seven days.

Each afternoon, a few storms may become severe with damaging winds. Due to the high amount of tropical moisture over the area, heavy rainfall is also possible. Since the Piedmont has had so much rainfall recently, any heavy rain could lead to flash flooding.

The high temperature today will be 84, with a high of 83 on  Monday and Tuesday

Our normal high temperature is 87, and our normal low is 68.
