Greensboro, NC -- Unemployment is still a problem in North Carolina, and one of the industries that could help fix it is aviation.
Well, local businesses leaders are trying to make a home for the industry right here in the Triad.
Delegates from the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, and other local commerce groups, recently returned from the International Air Show in Paris. The group pitched Greensboro to 14 major names in aviation.
With several large companies, like HondaJet, already calling the Triad home, delegates hope to show other companies that Greensboro has the assets for success in the field.
WFMY News 2 talked to Greensboro Economic Development Alliance President Dan Lynch about the trip. He says delegates planted seeds for a bright aviation future in Greensboro and surrounding areas.
